Welcome to our website. Your privacy is important to us. For this reason, we explain below how we process your personal data.

Data categories and data sources

As a general rule, we process personal data that you share with us when you send us an enquiry or as part of a pre-contractual legal relationship or a contractual relationship. In individual cases and where required to fulfil the terms of a contract, we also process personal data retrieved by legitimate means from publicly accessible sources (e.g. commercial registers, lists of debtors, the Internet) or legitimately shared with us by third parties (e.g. credit agencies).

This may include personal information (name, date of birth, legally authorised representatives), address details (address, e-mail address, contact persons), financial information (name of account holder, IBAN, BIC), contract information (contract period, goods or services purchased, cancellations), communication data (correspondence, e-mails), promotional information (promotional letters) and other, similar categories of personal data.

General processing of visitor data

It is generally possible to use our website without providing personal data.

However, please note that access data is collected and stored in server log files. This includes the following information:

·          Browser type / your browser version

·          Operating system

·          The website from which you accessed our site

·          Date and time of visit

·          Your IP address

We only evaluate this information in anonymised form to prevent attacks and to improve our website (processing of personal data for the purposes of legitimate interests in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 f of the GDPR), after which we delete it. We cannot link this information with you personally and it is not combined with any other data.

However, if we have good reason to believe that the site is being used illegally, we reserve the right to evaluate this data subsequently.

Processing of personal data for the performance of a contract or prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6 Para. 1 b GDPR)

Where a contract is entered into with us, we use personal data where this is necessary for the performance of a contract or to take steps prior to entering into a contract. The purposes of data processing are oriented towards the actual content of the contract, for which you can refer to the contractual documents. If you send us your CV and other application documents by e-mail, we will process your data solely for the purposes of the relevant application process.

Processing of personal data following consent (Art. 6 Para. 1 Point 1 a GDPR)

In individual cases we will seek your consent to the processing of your personal data for specific purposes expressly associated with the collection of the data (in particular queries submitted via a contact form).

We will only process your data with your consent. It may be the case that we cannot process your enquiry without first obtaining your consent, so that the processing of your enquiry will be dependent on this. Your data will only be processed for the purpose(s) expressly described.

You may withdraw your consent at any time. Withdrawing your consent has no effect on the lawfulness of the processing of data prior to the withdrawal of consent.

Use of cookies

When you visit our website, cookies may be used on various pages. These are text files which are stored on your computer, for example to make your visit to our site a smooth experience.

We use cookies on the basis of Art. 6 Para. 1 Point 1 a) and Art. 6 Para. 1 Point 1 f) of the GDPR, for the purposes of the following legitimate interests:

·          To allow the use of particular features

·          To enable (pseudonymised) analysis of user behaviour in order to optimise our website

·          To enhance the appeal and user experience of our website

·          To improve our service and align it with user needs

Cookies are used to create user profiles. You are assigned a pseudonym under which your usage data is stored. Your IP address is only stored in shortened form, which prevents the user profile from being linked with you.

Most of the cookies we use are session cookies, which are deleted from your computer when you close your browser. Other types of cookies may remain on your computer and allow us to recognise your computer by means of the stored user profile the next time you visit our site (persistent cookies).

Cookies on our site are only used by us and not by third parties, with the exception of cookies from third-party providers which are explicitly mentioned in this privacy policy. You can change your browser settings so that you are notified when cookies are set and can choose whether to accept them on an individual basis or whether to disable cookies in specific cases or in all cases. If you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use all the features on our website.

Use of DoubleClick

Our website uses the “DoubleClick” service of the provider Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA. This service uses cookies to display advertisements relevant to you. In the process, your browser will be assigned a pseudonymous identification number (ID) for the purposes of reviewing which advertisements have been displayed in your browser and which advertisements have been opened. DoubleClick also uses what are known as web beacons (invisible graphics). These web beacons can be used to analyse information such as visitor traffic on these pages.

The use of DoubleClick enables us to place advertisements based on previous visits to our or third-party websites on the Internet via the provider Google. The information generated by the cookies is transmitted by Google to a server in the US for analysis and stored there. Google respects the agreements of the EU-US Privacy Shield and is registered at https://www.privacyshield.gov/welcome with the competent authority of the US government.

You can prevent the installation of cookies by adjusting the appropriate settings of your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookie and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address), and prevent Google from processing these data by installing a blocking browser plug-in, e.g. https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en

.

You can learn more about data privacy at DoubleClick here.  http://www.google.com/doubleclick/

Creating pseudonymous user profiles for web analysis

This website uses Matomo, an open source software used to analyse websites. Cookies, which are text files stored on your computer and facilitate an analysis of your use of the website, are placed for this purpose. The information generated by the cookies is exclusively transferred to our own server and stored there for the purposes of optimising our website.

Your IP address will be immediately anonymised, with the result that assignment of the stored data to individuals is excluded. The stored data will not be passed on to third parties. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the appropriate settings of your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent.

You can also prevent collection via Matomo by selecting the following check box. In this case, an opt-out cookie will be set excluding the collection of your data when you visit the website in the future. Please note that if you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and you may have to activate it again.

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). Google Analytics uses so-called “cookies,” text files that are stored on your computer and facilitate an analysis of your use of the website. The information generated by the cookies about your use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. However, if IP anonymisation is activated on this website, Google will first shorten your IP address within Member States of the European Union or in other States party to the Agreement on the European Economic Area. The full IP address is only transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there in exceptional cases.

On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to analyse your use of the website, to compile reports on website activities and to provide the website operator with other services relating to use of the website and the Internet. The IP address transmitted by your browser within Google Analytics will not be pooled with other Google data. You can prevent the storage of cookies by adjusting the appropriate settings of your browser software. However, please note that in this case you may not be able to use all features of this website to their full extent. You can also prevent Google from collecting the data generated by the cookies and relating to your use of the website (including your IP address), and prevent Google from processing this data by downloading and installing the browser plug-in available at the following link (http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=en).

You can also prevent collection by Google Analytics by clicking on the following link. As a result, an opt-out cookie will be set excluding the collection of your data when you visit this website in the future.
Disable Google Analytics

Please note that if you delete your cookies, the opt-out cookie will also be deleted and you may have to activate it again.

For more information on terms of use and data protection, please visit <https://www.google.com/analytics/terms/us.html> or <https://policies.google.com/>. On our website, Google Analytics was extended to include the code “anonymizeIp” which facilitates the collection of IP addresses in anonymous format (so-called IP masking).

Use of Google Fonts

To display external fonts we use Google Fonts. This service is provided by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA (“Google”). This involves accessing a server, whereby data including your IP address and the page from which the server is accessed is transferred to a Google server in the USA. We do not know how this data is processed by Google.

For more information, please refer to the Google website using the links below:

Sharing of data

We only share data in the circumstances permitted by law, for example if we are legally obliged to disclose information to law enforcement agencies.

Duration of data storage

We delete your personal data without delay once it is no longer required for the fulfilment of contractual and legal obligations.

We store personal data for as long as it is required to fulfil contractual obligations and exercise contractual rights. This period may extend beyond the actual contract period, as the data may still be relevant after a contract expires due to statutory periods of limitation. In addition, data can only be deleted once any relevant fiscal and commercial retention periods have elapsed.

For the criteria relating to the storage period of cookies, please refer to the relevant section.

Rights of data subjects

As a person affected by the processing of personal data (data subject), you have the following rights:

You have the right to obtain confirmation as to whether or not personal data is being processed. Where this is the case, you have the right to access the personal data and the information specified in Art. 15 of the GDPR.

You have the right to demand from the party responsible for processing the data (the controller) without undue delay the rectification of inaccurate personal data concerning you and to have incomplete personal data completed (Art. 16 of the GDPR).

You have the right to demand from the controller the erasure of personal data concerning you without undue delay where one of the grounds specified in Art. 17 of the GDPR applies, e.g. if the data is no longer required in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed (right to erasure).

You have the right to demand from the controller restriction of processing where one of the conditions specified in Art. 18 of the GDPR applies, e.g. where you have objected to processing pending verification by the controller.

You have the right to object at any time to processing of personal data concerning you on grounds relating to your particular situation. The controller shall no longer process the personal data unless the controller demonstrates compelling legitimate grounds for the processing which override your interests, rights and freedoms or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims (Art. 21 of the GDPR).

With regard to the exercising of your rights, you can contact us at any time using the contact options on our website.

Right to lodge a complaint

Without prejudice to any other administrative or judicial remedy, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority if you consider that the processing of personal data relating to you infringes the GDPR (Art. 77 of the GDPR). You may exercise this right with a supervisory authority in the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement. In Saarland, the responsible supervisory authority is the Unabhängiges Datenschutzzentrum Saarland (Saarland Independent Privacy Centre). The contact person there is Monika Grethel, State Officer for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.

More information is available on the service portal of the State of Saarland at the link below:
